Author Event with Virginia author Maj. Gen. Mari K. Eder (U.S. Army, Retired)

The Girls Who Fought Crime: The Untold True Story of the Country's First Female Investigator and Her Crime Fighting Squad

Thursday, October 26 at 6:00pm

We are very excited to have Virginia author Mari Eder in our store! Many have read her previous book and TLB Book Club pick, The Girls Who Stepped out of Line: Untold Stories of the Women Who Changed the Course of World War II, which was fabulous. Now she has a new book out about Mae Foley who was one of the first women to be sworn into the NYPD and formed the first auxiliary police force called the "Masher Squad," which brought down robbers, rapists and more. While women were fighting for the vote, she was fighting crime.

Come join us for this wonderful event.

Books will be available for purchase prior to and at the event.
